Longboarder
‘Longboarder’ is an imagined illustration borne of where I live here on the North Kent coast.
We don’t get much surf here but we do have miles of pan flat promenade stretching uninterrupted from Birchington right through the bays of Westgate-on-Sea and along past Margate Main Sands as far as the Turner Contemporary. What the sea couldn’t provide, the land could.
I imagined a frustrated surfer enjoying a longboard instead riding the beautiful coastline we have here - best of both worlds.
